Ending 2018 with Art

I am ending 2018 with a beautiful painting by a local artist. My husband and I were thrilled to be able to get an original 'Margee'. I'm not sure if I coined the term while talking to some of the people at her art show, but I think it's fitting. Check out her work: https://www.emargeesullivan.com/ She's on a roll and I see an amazing artist blossoming.

The year 2018 was an amazing year. I got married in May and basically up til then I was engrossed in wedding preparations. From what I hear, it was a wedding that set the bar fairly high. We wanted to celebrate with our friends and family and that was what we did. Choosing a place was hard and the Renaissance Marriott Hotel was a great choice. Sold my house (see the beautiful flooring) with a lot of help from my husband Mike and friend/real estate agent Ernie Sica. https://www.welovecoloradohomes.com/ This guy puts more into selling a house than any other person around. Not because he's a friend but because each client becomes his friend. The work Mike put in was immense and took it's toll on his back. He chose to put in hardwood and I love what he picked. Ernie and Mike had to raise the entire kitchen cabinets to allow for the new floor. Mike did the entry tile too. Lastly, Ernie painted the front door. I picked the coloring. It was beautiful - made me sad to not be living it in. This all was happening while planning the wedding. We closed a few days after the wedding. I won't say it wasn't stressful - because I had to eliminate all the stuff I'd hung on to for years. That should be a whole blog by itself! And possibly several sessions with a counselor.

My job is going steadily along. I love my job, the place I work for and the people I work with. The most amazing company with wonderful work ethics.

Got a new vehicle. Probably could have eeked out more mileage from my wonderful Chevy Maxx. And the severe winter I was expecting for my new Subaru Forester hasn't arrived yet. Please note, this picture was taken 12/30/18. No snow, its 45 degrees! If you are interested in a new or used Subaru ask for Samantha Priest at https://www.philmeadorsubaru.com/ in Pocatello, ID.

Lastly, my own artwork efforts. My hubby got me a new camera lens. A Sigma 105mm F2.8 EX DG MACRO OS. I am so looking forward to using it. I should be on a day like this, but alas.... I have a bad cold which started on Christmas Eve.

To all who have shared their time with us this year, Thank You! To those who "stalk" my facebook pages, thank you. To the man who, IMHO, is a saint: Thank you for being who you are and marrying me! Have a Happy New Year. Stay safe and see you in 2019.
